How to read the result
Character count and byte size are not always the same because many Unicode characters require multiple UTF-8 bytes. Use the byte result when an API or storage limit is specified in bytes rather than characters.
Limitations
Word boundaries vary across languages and writing systems. The current word count uses whitespace boundaries, so linguistic tokenization for languages without spaces may require specialized analysis.

The result includes both total characters and a separate count with whitespace removed.
Why are UTF-8 bytes higher than characters?
