Secure Password Generator
Generate cryptographically secure passwords locally with Web Crypto.
Generate SHA-256, SHA-384 or SHA-512 hashes locally with the browser Web Crypto API.
Your input is processed only as required by this tool.
Cryptographic hash functions transform input into a fixed-size digest and are useful for integrity checks, cache keys, comparisons and development workflows. This tool uses the browser's Web Crypto implementation of SHA-256, SHA-384 and SHA-512 and returns the digest as hexadecimal text.
The same input and algorithm produce the same digest. A different hash means the input or selected algorithm differs, but matching hashes alone do not prove who created the original content.
A hash is not encryption and cannot be reversed to recover the original value. Do not use a plain fast SHA hash as a password-storage scheme; password hashing requires dedicated slow, salted algorithms and appropriate server-side controls.
No. SHA-256 is a one-way hash function, not an encryption format.
No. The digest is generated locally using Web Crypto in your browser.
